#ASDShineBright Eagle River High School Pottery students and Art Teacher Jacob Bera created 34 bowls that will be sold at the Bean's Cafe Empty Bowls event, a fundraiser that benefits those experiencing hunger.

"It was truly a last-minute opportunity, but these kids stepped up and donated their time and talents to help those in need," said Bera. "We've got some talented kids with good character and big hearts. This is one of the many ways we work to build community and lift each other up here at ERHS!"

There are countless ASD children and families who experience food insecurity throughout the year, and this program currently distributes over a thousand pantry packs at 21 sites throughout Anchorage to help fill the need in our community for a stable meal.
