Here’s this week’s #TrafficTipTuesday! Today we are highlighting school bus safety. With all the buses back on the roads, here’s some tips to help make sure everyone gets to and from their destinations safely. Drivers, when the stop arm is extended on the bus, and the lights are flashing, you must stop. Slow down and be cautious in school zones and residential neighborhoods for children who are walking or biking to and from school. Always follow the school zone speed limit and put down the phone. Since June 2019, it is illegal for drivers to use a cell phone in an active school zone (except for hands-free voice-only use). Parents, please ensure your children wear bright and reflective gear while traveling to and from the bus stop. Stay safe out there!
