On Monday, June 27, 2022, the City of Seldovia extended its gratitude to Suzie Stranik and her team of WWOOF volunteers for their years of service and dedication to the maintenance of Main Street Garden.
Suzie Stranik has put in countless hours over many, many years towards beautifying the community. Main Street Garden is just a small piece of the many parks Ms. Stranik continues to maintain and it turns out, as we learned on Monday, that Seldovia is not the only community she has thanklessly helped and devoted time, effort, and resources too for the good of all over the years, but it sure is the one that has stuck!
So, if you pass by and see Suzie out and about tending gardens and parks be sure to stop a moment and say thank you or pick up a shovel and help if you have the time, or better yet a watering can. Let's all do our part to help Suzie help keep Seldovia beautiful!
(There is a watering can located on the deck of the Seldovia Gateway Pavilion, please feel free to water the hanging baskets if you see them looking a little dry.)
