Sen. Dan Sullivan, U.S. Senator representing Alaska, has recently commented on developments in Middle East peace and federal land management policies affecting his state through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On October 9, 2025, Sullivan addressed the ongoing situation in the Middle East, referencing the two-year anniversary of a major attack by Hamas. He stated: "Two years after Hamas terrorists brutally attacked Israel—murdering 1,200 people and kidnapping 250—we are witnessing an historic and remarkable breakthrough toward peace in the Middle East. I commend @POTUS, @SteveWitkoff, @SecRubio, and @JaredKushner for their extraordinary".

Turning to domestic policy on October 10, 2025, Sullivan criticized the Biden administration’s approach to resource management in Alaska. He wrote: "The Biden administration’s Central Yukon Resource Management Plan (CYRMP) was an egregious case of federal overreach and just one of the administration’s 70 executive orders and actions singularly focused on harming Alaska, our economy, and our working families."

Later that day, he provided additional information regarding the CYRMP: "Here are more details on the Central Yukon Resource Management Plan:

The Central Yukon Resource Management Plan is part of a broader set of federal policies under President Joe Biden's administration aimed at regulating public lands in Alaska. These policies have sparked debate among local leaders who argue that such measures restrict economic opportunities for Alaskans while proponents assert they are necessary for environmental protection.

Senator Sullivan has been a vocal critic of what he describes as excessive federal intervention in Alaska's affairs. His recent statements reflect ongoing tensions between state officials and federal agencies over land use and resource development decisions.
