A few updates for you as we head into the weekend and we continue plans to get back-to-school on Monday.
After-school and facility rental activities are ON as scheduled today and this weekend.
Today is the 7th weather closure day. We had two days built into the school calendar.
We are developing a plan focused on changes to second half of the school calendar for how we make up the five missed days. We will have a progress report for the School Board during its meeting on Monday.
Remote learning is still being considered as a future weather closure option if needed.

Next week is a three day school week with no snow in the forecast (fingers crossed it stays that way). Last day of school is Wednesday, December 21st for students. They return on Monday, January 9th from winter break.
Our crews continue to clean up and clear out the snow in and around our campuses. This will continue throughout the weekend in partnership with the Municipality of Anchorage and State of Alaska. If you see one of our ASD crews in your neighborhood, please say hi.
We are making every effort for a safe and smooth commute to school on Monday. We will do everything in our ability to make next week the best possible for our students and our staff!
Thank you again for your continued patience and understanding. This is an unprecedented situation for all of us. We will get through this together.
