Good morning Seldovia, we need to talk about grease.
A lot of grease is being poured down the drain recently and its clogging up the lift station pump that helps process and transport our community's wastewater (aka sewage) through the wastewater distribution system. It's also impacting the septic tank and the sewer main carrying the grease. Think bacon grease left in the pan at room temp.
Please, please, please do not dump grease down the drain! Use a container and throw it away in a trash can. We cannot afford to have our wastewater system clogged up!
Also, RIP Olivia Newton-John for her performance in the movie Grease.
