On July 18, Murkowski announced a positive development regarding educational funding after communicating with federal officials: "After sending a letter to OMB Director Vought with nine other Republicans this week, we received some good news this morning from the Department of Education, stating that the funding for 21st Century Community Learning Centers will be released on Monday. The pause of these funds" (July 18, 2025).
A few days later, on July 21, she highlighted the significance of public broadcasting during a Senate committee hearing: "During a recent @IndianCommittee nomination hearing to consider Mr. William Kirkland to serve as Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, I highlighted how vital public broadcasting is to Alaskans every day. Especially in rural and remote communities, radio stations often serve as" (July 21, 2025).
On July 22, Murkowski addressed an international matter involving the safety of a religious leader with ties to Alaska: "I am relieved to share the news that Rev. Alphonsus Afina—who served communities across rural Alaska—has been freed after being kidnapped by terrorists in early June. He is safe, recovering, and on his way back to be reunited with his community in Nigeria.
My team has been hard" (July 22, 2025).
