On July 3, 2025, Senator Sullivan announced that "The OBBBA passed the House w/ huge wins for Alaska!" He elaborated on several key components of the bill, including unleashing resources to create jobs and enhance state revenues. Additionally, he noted mandatory leases in ANWR, NPR-A, and Cook Inlet with future lease revenues split 70/30 for the state. Major tax relief for families and small businesses was also highlighted.
