U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, Governor Mike Dunleavy, and Representative Nick Begich have expressed support for a new Executive Order signed by President Donald Trump. This order reverses several policies from the Biden administration related to Alaska's lands and resources. The move aims to boost Alaska's economy by developing its natural resources.

The Executive Order outlines measures to advance the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project and addresses resource restrictions within the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska (NPR-A). It also restores previously canceled oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), supports the Ambler Access Project and King Cove Road, protects hunting rights on federal lands, and revokes the 2001 Roadless Rule in Alaska.

Senator Murkowski stated that President Trump's actions prioritize energy development opportunities in Alaska. She noted that these policies are expected to enhance the state's economy, budget, quality of life, energy affordability, and national security.

Senator Sullivan commented on the positive impact of this Executive Order for Alaskans compared to previous restrictions under the Biden-Harris administration. He emphasized that this order will help develop critical resources and create economic opportunities for Alaskans.

Representative Begich remarked that President Trump's leadership marks a new era of economic renewal. He highlighted that this Executive Order will empower Alaska to harness its energy resources fully, promoting economic growth for future generations.
