#ASDShineBright About 60 Sixth Grade Trailside Elementary Students launched hot air balloons they created during a trigonometry lesson. Kindergarten students, parents, and staff watched nearby and cheered for the successful release! The hot air balloons were built with tissue paper. Stove pipes, operated by parents and teachers, filled the balloons with hot air. The balloons ranged from five to six feet!
Of course the project, led by teachers Carleen Ulbrich and Benjamin Richardson, was cleared through our partners at The Anchorage Fire Department. Please do not try this at home without understanding the safety hazards.
What a fun way to help our students learn! Thank you for sharing, Timberwolves.
