More than 250 students from five ASD elementary schools had the opportunity to participate in the 2023 Anchorage School District Physical Education Winter Jamboree Friday, February 17 at Cuddy Park.
The students enjoyed learning how to kick sled, cross country ski, ride fat tire bicycles, play broomball, curling, and ice skate. 2X Olympic Gold Medalist and Speed Skating Pioneer Shani Davis was also on hand to talk to students, pose for pictures, and give tips on ice skating.
