From the artist: "For as long as I can remember, I have surrounded myself with the arts. From playing on a toy piano at the age of two through lessons and schooling to becoming the versatile performer I am today. In many ways, my experiences with music and theater have shaped me to be a better person and motivated me to bettermyself." - John Wellmann
Wellmann is currently enrolled in symphonic band, jazz band, and swing choir. Outside of school, he serves the Anchorage community as the principal horn of the Anchorage Youth Symphony. You can also find him playing solo jazz piano in the lobby of Providence Hospital's Cancer Center.
