Good afternoon!
As we wrap up our first quarter and head into a rainy three-day weekend, Team ASD is here with an important reminder and update on our rotating bus route schedules!
On Monday, we rotate back to Cohort one. ICYMI, visit asdk12.org/busroutes to read Dr. Bryantt’s update from a few weeks ago. Now, even though we are returning to Cohort one, our ridership has spiked since the school year started. Next week Cohort one will include 53 routes that have been permanently reinstated. As a reminder- routes listed in the cohort mean they will receive bus transportation service. The total average ridership anticipated for Cohort 1 is up to 15,880.
Also, more and more drivers continue to complete the hiring process. As of today, we have 193 out of 228 routes active! There are currently 21 drivers in training and an additional three new routes will be permanently reinstated next week. Good news! While our hiring pipeline looks promising, the Transportation Department is still encouraging folks who may be interested to apply.
