Anchorage School District transportation Specialist Dayton Keliikipi works with new driver, Devin, on his pre-trip vehicle inspection during his commercial drivers license test. Passing the test is one of the last steps to becoming a school district bus driver. It takes about 3 weeks to go through the training process.
Currently the District is on pace to have three new drivers behind the wheel next week and currently has about 50 applicants moving through the hiring and CDL training process.
