Councilmember Bobbi Sweatt: AMHS Advocacy

In developing their priorities for the calendar year 2022, Seldovia City Council selected “Continued AMHS Advocacy/Tustumena Replacement Vessel” as a top focus for the City. Councilmember Bobbi Sweatt raised her hand to serve as the Council Champion for this priority and will be requesting signatures from Seldovians on a letter thanking State representatives like Governor Mike Dunleavy and the Alaska State Legislature for: funding the replacement ferry to the M/V Tustumena; recognizing the importance of establishing a reliable ferry schedule released 18 months in advance; and for creating the Alaska Marine Highway Reshaping Work Group. The letter also advocates for year round ferry service to Seldovia. Please be on the lookout for Councilmember Sweatt! If you cant find her but still want to join in on this effort, come to the City Office and we can help you  In the meantime, give this video a watch and make sure you have sound turned on
