6edited

Anchorage Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Alaska lost seven soldiers in the Korean war and 43 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 9001 Jewel Lake Rd Suite 5, Anchorage will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Capt. James G. Lee Memorial Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Anchorage Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Anchorage Ace Hardware is located at 9001 Jewel Lake Rd Suite 5, Anchorage, Alaska. This location is owned by Tim E. Craig and represented by Nick Russell.
