Informational Monday

It's informational Monday..... Do you know how and what to place a work order for with the City of Seldovia?

The City of Seldovia provides many services to the community, those services provided by the public works crew require an internal work order in order to schedule the work to be done.

To call in a work order for service, call the City of Seldovia at 907-234-7643 and we will work to get things scheduled as efficiently and quickly as possible.

Examples of services provided by a work order-

*Water turn on or off- Did you know that according to Seldovia Municipal Code only authorized personnel of the City of Seldovia are allowed to turn on or off a water service connected to the Seldovia Water System?

*Boat Haul Out and Launch- if this service is being requested to be performed by the City of Seldovia, please look at the local tides to confirm your request aligns with a high tide over 15.1"

*Water Connection- requires an application be submitted to the City Office

*Water Main and/or Connection Inspection- please exhaust all water service extension inspections prior to scheduling a water main or connection inspection.

*Sewer Jetting- please exhaust all water and sewer service extension inspections prior to scheduling the jetting of the sewer main.

*Road Maintenance- will be scheduled as able, material is available, and according to the priority of road repair and/or snow removal.

*Etc.

In most cases, 24 hour notice is required prior to the scheduling of these services in order to efficiently schedule them with the public works crew.

For more questions or more information, call the City of Seldovia 907-234-7643.
