Anchorage School District recently issued the following announcement.
ASD Family, Friends, and Community,
During the last several months, the Board has worked with our community partners to identify the desired traits of ASD’s new leader. This individual will have a vision and commitment to public education for all children, a deep understanding of the K-12 education system, and will possess integrity, honesty, and the ability to keep the focus on students.
We have identified three leaders who we believe embody these traits and values, as well as demonstrate success in executive leadership, complex organizational change, and financial management. Please welcome Dr. Jharrett Bryantt, Frank Hauser, and Dr. Mathew Neal.
Below you will find their background, resume, and why they want to be our next Superintendent. You can also view the results of our research such as community surveys.
The next steps in selecting which candidate will be appointed Superintendent take place next week. On Monday and Tuesday, the candidates will take a tour of the District, meet with students, staff, and stakeholders, participate in multiple town halls, and interview with the Board a final time.
Following Tuesday’s community town hall, a feedback survey will be published on the Superintendent Search webpage. Your feedback is greatly valued as we look to select the candidate who best aligns with the values, vision, direction, and goals of the Anchorage School District. After the feedback survey results are reviewed and the Board conducts its final interviews, the Board will make its selection.
