City of Seldovia issued the following announcement on March 3.
Water and Sewer Infrastructure Grant Writing Services
The City of Seldovia, Alaska (“City”) invites qualified candidates to submit proposals for contractual grant writing services. The City is seeking to retain a qualified grant writer who can assist the City in obtaining grant funds for water and sewer infrastructure while
maximizing the City’s chances in securing opportunities.
It is the intention of the City to apply for grants which address documented City needs associated with water and sewer infrastructure. In addition, it is the intent of the City to
apply for water and sewer-related grants which not only are consistent with identified City needs but also can be properly and efficiently administered by staff taking into account existing duties and responsibilities.
The City has allocated a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, specifically $15,000, towards grant writing services related to water and sewer infrastructure to assist the City in leveraging its ARPA funds to receive other grant funding necessary in order to make critical improvements to the City’s water and sewer system.
Proposals must be received by the City of Seldovia by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1st,2022. Late proposals will not be considered. The City highly encourages early submission of proposals.

Questions regarding this proposal must be submitted in writing to City Clerk Geagel at the above address no later than March 14, 2022. Questions and the associated answers will be posted on the City’s website as received.
