Kenai Peninsula Borough issued the following announcement on February 25.
The Chugach National Forest Avalanche Center has issued an avalanche warning from 6pm Thursday until 6pm Friday for the Western Chugach and Kenai Mountains in and around areas that include: Seward, Moose Pass, Lost Lake, Summit Lake, Turnagain Pass, Portage, and Girdwood.
