Of the 5,709 people living in Homer city in 2019, 52.1 percent (2,973) were women and 47.9 percent (2,736) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SC Alaska News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 1,843-to-1,633. In the 65 and over age range, there were 613 females and 503 males.
