Cost of college went up for all students at Alaska Christian College

Tuition and fees rose 2.6 percent for 2018-19 at Alaska Christian College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Alaska students paid $8,014 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $200 more than the $7,814 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 25 students received grants or scholarships totaling $341,310 and 10 students took out student loans totaling more than $51,433.

Including all undergraduates (81), 72 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1 million, and 45 students took out $220,465 in federal student loans.
