84 percent of applicants to Alaska Pacific University were admitted for fall 2018

At Alaska Pacific University, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 67 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Anchorage enrolled 502 students in fall 2018, including 301 in undergraduate and 201 in graduate programs, data shows. 19.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alaska, and 39 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (45 percent) and American Indian or Alaska Native (22 percent).

The school admitted 84 percent of the 419 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
