Alaska State Troopers issued the following announcement on March 6.
One of our own is on her way to Kosovo to represent DPS, the State of Alaska and the USA. Court Services Officer Julie-Dee Sharkey, Anchorage Judicial Services, has been elected as the Treasurer of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP). In that capacity CSO Sharkey is traveling to Kosovo for the Early Board Meeting. The IAWP is a richly diverse and growing organization with global reach. Thank you to CSO Sharkey for taking on this important and challenging role.
