Alaska State Troopers issued the following announcement on March 10.
Nice try! There are currently no known cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) in the State of Alaska. State health officials are monitoring the rapidly-emerging outbreak closely. To keep healthy, people are encouraged to take everyday precautions like washing hands, keeping away from others who are sick and avoiding crowds as much as possible, especially if you are older or have an underlying health condition. To learn more about COVID-19 and what the Department of Health and Social Services and other community partners are doing, please visit coronavirus.alaska.gov. If you have questions about COVID-19, call 2-1-1 or 800-478-2221 where 2-1-1 cannot be accessed.
