Municipality of Anchorage issued the following announcement on Feb.19.
Hooray for snow--it's great to live in winter city! The US National Weather Service Anchorage Alaska has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the MOA vicinity and it's in effect until 5AM Wednesday. We could get up to 12 inches of snow. In preparation for the municipal plows to clear roads, please check the schedule and plowing status map. Drive cautiously, watch out for each other, and enjoy the fresh powder!
